Read below for using metal QR plates by situation!
Manufacturer or Product Reseller- For Instructions, Manual, or Replacement Parts: You will not need the “Unique” option if the metal QR plates are for a single product. You will need the “Unique” option if you have more than one product pointing to different pages. Attach to your outdoor product that you resell or manufacture so people have convenient access to instructions, replacement parts, or additional purchase promotions. This prevents having to hunt for manuals, trying to find out how to buy parts, or finding where to buy another! Great for rental equipment!
Equipment Rental – For Rental Instructions, Policies: Attach our peelnstick Outdoor QR Label on anything you rent! For equipment rentals, use our Unique Option QR Plates so info for each rental equipment is easily accessed. Just use a separate instructions/info web page on your website for each piece of equipment and attach the corresponding QR plate to each equipment.
Apartments, Cabins, Vacation Rentals – For Rental Instructions, Policies: For vacation rentals, cabins, or apartments, use a Basic or Unique “QR for Notices” plate in each unit to easily access your notices/updates/procedures/rules web page. Just update that webpage as needed. Many people will not read your longer webpage, so use our “Unique” option so each plate can point to specific purposes, such as heat/air, laundry room, device and equipment usage, etc. Just place the QR plate where it makes sense! For this “Unique” option idea, create a simple text webpage for each need, then tell us the web address for each QR plate.
Restaurants – Weatherproof and Wear and Tear Proof Menus: Even with snow, rain, and sun, they will function for future years, AND they do not blow away! Our small outdoor QR plates work great for outdoor seating menus! Weatherproof and chemical proof. Just point the small plate to your menu webpage, so people can immediately look at your menu. If you have different menus for time of day, point it to a single page on your website that has buttons to the time of day menus. It is very simple to create a webpage with 3-4 links or buttons to access the right menu. If you use our “Updateable” option, we make the multiple menu buttons automatically! For example, “Breakfast Menu 7am-10am” Lunch Menu 11am-3pm” “Dinner Menu 4pm-9pm” “Sunday Brunch 8am-2pm”.
Historical Signs – Add A Webpage Supplement to Your Existing Historical Signs: Great for historical societies! Update higher quality historical signs to modern features! Since our outdoor QR plates are small, they can be attached to existing signs that will not take away from the sign’s appearance. Use our “Unique” option so each QR plate can point to a specific dedicated webpage with further information than the existing sign provides. This is also a situation where instead of just a “Unique” option, you may want to consider a combo “Updateable/Unique” option. For example, you may initially be pointing to individual webpages to expound on historical sign information, but then later want to change it to point to a Youtube video.
Funeral Homes: Provide a outdoor qr plate to every family! Our small plate attaches very well to the base of a headstone to point to your funeral home obituary page for the person. It can be given to the family at time of funeral and they can attach if desired when headstone is placed. It is a good bullet point of services provided! Use our “Unique” option since each plate will point to a different page. We provide a page on our website where you can easily submit the outdoor QR plate serial number and web address destination after each obituary if created. It only takes a minute!
Campus Map: If you use our “Basic” QR plate, the QR will take them to your single map page. This lets people easily access your map from various places around campus. You may want to consider our “Unique” QR plate option where you can have each QR plate point to unique map pages on your website. Each QR would point to a map page that marks “You Are Here” or red arrow/X on the map. In most situations, that quickly helps the user know where to go. Suggested Use For Your Web Person: Start with a good campus map graphic that labels main landmarks with larger text. Detailed areas can use smaller text that can be seen when the phone user zooms. Create and name or number enough new webpages to match your QR plate quantity. Edit your original master campus map graphic for each webpage but add a red “X” or”Arrow” on the map graphic copy to indicate where the QR plate will be placed. Repeat for the other locations, then place the QR plates after submitting your web addresses. Since the QR plates are small, they can be added on the corner of existing signage.
Trail Map: The outdoor QR plate can point to your trail map page so people can easily access it from various places on the trail. Since the QR plates are small, they can be added on the corner of existing signage or you can purchase our post adapter that lets you attach the QR plate to a standard metal fence post that you purchase locally. If you use our “Basic” QR plate, the QR will take them to your single map page. You may want to consider our “Unique” QR plates where you can have each QR plate point to unique map pages on your website where each QR would point to a map that marks “You Are Here” or “Red X/Arrow”. The “Unique” option quickly helps the user understand where to go. Suggested Use For Your Web Person: Start with a good trail map graphic that labels main landmarks with larger text. Detailed areas can use smaller text that can be seen when the phone user zooms. Create and name or number enough new webpages to match your QR plate quantity. Edit your original master trail map graphic for each webpage with a red “X” or”Arrow” on the map graphic copy to indicate where the QR plate will be placed. Repeat for the other locations, then place the QR plates after submitting your web addresses.
Main Street Economic Development – For Promoting Main Street Walks: Attach our peelnstick Outdoor QR Label to the outside of each building along your main street to encourage people to take walks on main street! Ask each building occupant for information, then create a brief webpage or webpost for each building that offers what is known for building history or other interesting info.
City Parks – “Where Is The Object Game”: Create a unique parent-child activity in your park. The first outdoor qr plate would be in a very visible place. Successive qr plates are in more discreet locations. You would need to use our “Unique” option so each QR plate points to a unique text page on your website. Each QR plate would give a clue of where to look for the next QR plate. The first couple QR plates should be in highly visible locations, then the rest in more obscure locations with the last “You Found It” QR plate in the most obscure location. Most parks have enough equipment, structures, benches to place the QR plates. Just have to use imagination and think out how it would work, but contact us for instructions on how to make new challenges. Change your page clue occasionally to point to a different park qr plate to reorder the clue order (so it is a new challenge). Maybe consider having a local business sponsor a small mystery prize that can be picked up at that business if the child says the right word or object. For example, a small ice cream cone where the business knows the family is likely to purchase other items when picking it up.
